  • SLIM Fireboard Installation Instructions

    1. Using a 3/16" allen key, remove the (3) screws from the upper skin, common to the handle/cam-handle edge of the slim fireboard.  Reference photo A above.  Note:  with the screws removed, the underlying square nuts will be free to slide inside the aluminum frame's channel.

    2. Using a 1/8" allen key, loosen but do NOT remove the (2) set screws from each of the internal corner brackets, common to the handle/cam-handle edge of the slim fireboard.  Reference photo B above.

    3. Carefully slide the entire aluminum extrusion detail in the direction of the handle just enough to expose the channel containing the handle and cam-handle lock nuts.  Reference photo C above.

    4. Loosen cam-handles and slide them out of the channel.  Install replacement cam-handles by loosening (as required) on the lock nut and slide lock nut and underlying fastener head into the extrusion channel.

    5. Slide channel back underneath the top surface skin.  Ensure (3) lock nuts in extrusion channel common to the top skin surface are aligned with their respective fastener holes.  Re-install previously removed screws using 3/16 Allen key.  Reference step 1 above.

    6. Tighten previously loosened set screws in both corner brackets using 1/8 Allen key.  Reference step 2 above.
